SPLASH & DASH CAR WASH ANNOUNCES AGGRESSIVE SACRAMENTO AREA EXPANSION
Sacramentos Newest Chain of Car Washes is "Dashing" Forward with Plans to Open Five Additional Locations in 2006
CARMICHAEL, -- January 11, 2006 -- Splash & Dash Car Wash, with company headquarters in Carmichael, California has announced plans to open the doors on five new car washes in the Sacramento area by the end of 2006. This expansion will bring the total number of exterior-only, express car washes operated by Splash & Dash to seven.
Future Splash & Dash Car Wash locations in the greater Sacramento area include North Highlands, Rancho Cordova, South Natomas, Foothill Farms and at least one other location yet to be announced. Several additional locations are also being considered for continued expansion beyond 2006.
Splash & Dash began operations in late 2004 with its first location on Fair Oaks Boulevard in Carmichael. In July of 2005, Splash & Dash opened its second site on Prairie City Road in Folsom. Since that time Splash & Dash has been pursuing an aggressive growth strategy.
The newest car wash, located at 7145 Watt Avenue at Q Street in North Highlands, will be open for business in February of 2006. Splash & Dash Grand Opening activities will include mailing free car wash vouchers to every residence within a three mile radius.
"We plan to continue to add additional car washes each year in the greater Sacramento area as long as it continues to make sense for us," said Jason Johnson, President of Splash & Dash Car Wash. "As we grow, it is exciting to watch the express car wash model really begin to change the way people think about washing their cars."
The Splash & Dash "exterior express" car wash concept grew out of a desire to provide a very clean car and to do it much faster than traditional car washes. The process allows for a great wash and eliminates waiting. Splash & Dash offers three levels of exterior washes starting from $5.99, all designed to get a customer through in less than five minutes. Optional add-ons include an automated tire shine and self-serve vacuums.
Splash & Dash also takes pride in being environmentally friendly by recycling 100% of its water. Splash & Dashs reclaim system only uses eight gallons of fresh water per car and the environmentally friendly shampoos are biodegradable and non-corrosive. Splash & Dash does not use any of the acids or other corrosive materials that touch-less car washes employ.
Besides being more environmentally friendly than traditional commercial car washes, Splash & Dash wants to pull people out of their driveway. A person washing their own car in their driveway uses 50-150 gallons of fresh water. That water mixes with harmful soaps that go down the storm drains that lead to streams and rivers. Many communities have banned driveway carwashing not just because of the wasted water, but because of the phosphates and other harmful soaps and chemicals going into fresh water systems.
Fully automated and computerized, the high quality system is categorized as an all-cloth exterior conveyor wash. The customer stays in the vehicle while being automatically guided through the glass enclosed open-air tunnel where the vehicle is soaked, soaped, washed, polished, rinsed with spot-free water and blown dry all in a matter of minutes.
"Our goal is to give an extremely fast, affordable and clean car wash every time with no waiting for anyone at anytime regardless of the customers schedule or income," Johnson said. "In addition, our brushless wash systems are all-cloth and theyre safer on your cars finish than hand-washing."
Splash & Dash Car Washes are currently open from 7am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. After daylight savings, the car washes will stay open until 9pm to accommodate those with the busiest schedules.
