Will Your Car Fit In a Quick Quack Car Wash?
Pulling up to a car wash in a lifted truck, a cargo van, or anything with a roof rack, most drivers ask the same question before they get in line: will this actually fit?
Quick Quack car washes accommodate the vast majority of personal vehicles. Our height limit is 7'2" and our tire width limit is 13.5". If your vehicle falls within those specs and doesn't have loose or protruding accessories, it will typically clear the Showroom safely. Vehicles that exceed those limits, or that have certain roof-mounted equipment or other vehicle modifications, may not fit, so it's worth knowing our height, width, and size limits before you drive in.

Why do height and width limits matter?
Size limits aren't just about whether a vehicle can fit through the wash tunnel. They help ensure the vehicle is appropriate for the wash and can travel through it safely.
Vehicle clearance
Vehicles need enough space to enter and travel through the wash tunnel without coming too close to the surrounding structure or wash equipment.
Room for wash equipment
The wash is designed to accommodate vehicles within a specific size range. Proper clearance gives the equipment the space it needs to operate around the vehicle as intended.
Safe, consistent travel
A properly sized vehicle can be positioned and aligned correctly, helping it travel consistently through the wash tunnel.
Accessories and modifications can change a vehicle's size
Roof-mounted accessories and other modifications can add height or width beyond the vehicle's original dimensions and should be considered when determining whether the vehicle qualifies.
Protecting vehicles and equipment
Keeping vehicles within the appropriate dimensions helps reduce the possibility of an oversized vehicle coming into unintended contact with the wash environment.
Size is only one part of vehicle qualification
Meeting the height and width limits does not automatically mean a vehicle qualifies for the wash. Other vehicle conditions must also be considered before loading. For example, Quick Quack's loading procedures identify visible bumper damage and loose or broken license plates as conditions that may require equipment to be retracted.
What are Quick Quack's actual vehicle size limits?
Access for low-profile and lowered vehicles depends on the location. Quick Quack has washed vehicles as large as full-size trucks and even Cybertrucks at some locations, so the limits are generous. That said, a few items can't go through the wash under any circumstances, including:
- Storage pods or cargo boxes mounted on the roof
- Ladder racks
This list isn't all-inclusive. Other oversized or loosely attached items may also be turned away depending on how they sit on the vehicle. If you're unsure, a Team Member can visually inspect your vehicle before you enter the tunnel.
Does my specific vehicle typically fit?
If your vehicle falls into a "depends" category, ask a Team Member to take a look before you pull into the tunnel rather than guessing.
What about mirrors, antennas, roof racks, and other accessories?
Accessories are one of the biggest fit variables. They can turn an otherwise standard-sized vehicle into one that doesn't clear the wash.
Mirrors
Wide-body vehicles or trucks with extended towing mirrors are more prone to mirror contact than the vehicle body itself. Power-folding mirrors should be folded in. Manual mirrors should be checked for clearance.
Antennas
Retractable antennas should be lowered. Fixed, low-profile "shark fin" antennas are generally fine.
Roof racks
A bare, low-profile rack usually isn't an issue. Roof boxes, cargo pods, and loaded racks aren't permitted.
Bike racks
Hitch- or trunk-mounted bike racks with bikes attached must be removed before the wash.
Trailers
Any towed trailer needs to be unhitched before entering the tunnel.
How can I tell if my car fits before I go?
1. Measure total height, including anything mounted on the roof: racks, boxes, ski or kayak equipment, light bars.
2. Check tire width, especially if your vehicle has oversized or specialty tires. This applies to more than trucks: off-road vehicles, Jeeps, 4Runners, and similar vehicles often have wider tires.
3. Remove or stow anything that sticks out: antennas, flags, bike racks, cargo boxes.
4. Unhitch trailers before getting in line.
5. Ask a Team Member for a quick inspection if you're driving anything oversized, lifted, lowered, or modified.
Most sedans, SUVs, minivans, and standard trucks fit through a Quick Quack wash without a second thought. The vehicles worth double-checking are high-roof vans, lifted trucks with added roof equipment, vehicles with oversized or specialty tires, and anything carrying a roof box, bike rack, or trailer. If you're driving something non-standard, a lifted truck, a high-roof van, or a car with aftermarket accessories, don't guess. Every Quick Quack location has a Team Member who can visually inspect your vehicle before it enters the wash and flag anything that could be a problem.
